Thomas Rhett is “trying a new approach” to get the word out about his upcoming album, and the result was hilarious. Rhett took to his social media channels to share what it was like to make cold calls to ramp up anticipation for Where We Started.
The album, due on April 1, is the first of two projects Rhett is releasing this year. Rhett has already released a few songs from the upcoming collection, including “Slow Down Summer,” “Angels” and “Church Boots.” Fans can also expect collaborations with Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, “Home Sweet” singer Russell Dickerson, fellow country singer-songwriter Riley Green, and pop giant Katy Perry. Rhett previously said in a statement that these are “some of my favorite songs that I've ever been a part of. I’m just enjoying life so much right now, getting to be a dad, collaborating with incredible artists, playing shows with my friends, and watching people smile from the stage. It has really filled my soul.”
Rhett is one of many artists included in the star-studded lineup at the iHeartCountry Festival presented by Capital One, set for May 7 in Austin, Texas. Fans can tune in and stream the 2022 iHeartCountry Festival on iHeartMedia's Country music radio stations in local markets across the country, as well as on iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio app on May 7th at 8pm ET/5pm PT (7pm CT). Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.com.
