Thomas Rhett teamed up with Nicky Youre and dazy on a remixed version of the smash-hit summer single “Sunroof,” and Rhett’s fans are already “obsessed” with it. Rhett posted on Instagram that he “jumped on [Nicky Youre’s] summer bop,” sharing a snippet of the remix:
“I got my head out the sunroof/ I’m blasting our favorite tunes/ I only got one thing on my mind/ You got me stuck on the thought of you/ You're making me feel brand new/ You're more than a sunshine in my eyes.”
Rhett’s social media followers dropped enthusiastic comments on Tuesday morning (August 16) as they started listening to the new version of the song: “Waking up to this new might be some of the best ever!!!,” “This song was always a jam but got 100x better with you on it 🙌🏼🧡,” “Now, THIS SLAPS!!!!! Holy smokes, I didn’t think this song could get any better but you took it to a whole new level!! 🔥My favorite song this summer!!,” “Been on repeat with the sunroof open and windows down!! SOOOO GOOOOOD!”
Rhett, an award-winning country singer-songwriter, is no stranger to bending genre boundaries with his all-star collaborations. Recently, for example, he joined forces with pop icon Katy Perry on the title track of his latest album, Where We Started (the first of two projects he aims to release this year, followed by Country Again Side B).
Youre previously shared on Instagram that he has several “Sunroof” remixes out, following the original song’s success. He wrote in his caption: “This past year has been the craziest year of my life. I thought we were nearing the peak of craziness, and then I found out that Thomas Rhett, 24kGoldn, Loud Luxury, and Manuel Turizo were all down to remix their own versions of sunroof. I’m incredibly grateful to all of these artists and their teams for being apart [sic] of my journey. I’m honored to be sharing a song with each of them.”
