Democrats' Favorite Pick For 2028 Election Revealed

Vice President Kamala Harris is still the Democrats' preferred candidate for the 2028 presidential election, despite her loss to President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 election earlier this month, according to a poll released by Puck News/Echelon Insights on Wednesday (November 20).

Harris received support from 41% of respondents, while all other options were reported to be in the single digits and 16% said they were unsure. California Gov. Gavin Newsom was second with 8% support, followed by Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro at 7%.

Vice-president elect JD Vance was the overwhelming favorite for the Republican nomination at 37%, followed by businessman Vivek Ramaswamy (9%), former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (9%) and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (8%).
