Mattie Jackson Smith has welcomed Baby No. 2!
The In Joy Life with Mattie Jackson podcast host and author, who is the eldest daughter of country legend Alan Jackson, announced the birth of her second child on Tuesday (February 17). Smith welcomed newborn daughter Charlotte “Charlie” Ann Smith on Friday (February 13). She wrote in her caption on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon that “our little valentine decided to make her entrance a few days early, and we couldn’t be more in love with her! You are the greatest tiny pink blessing, angel girl! Momma, Dada, and even big brother and Ryman already love you so 💝👶🏻🎀” See the adorable first photos of Charlie here.
Smith, 35, announced in October 2025 that she was pregnant with Baby No. 2. She wrote in a sweet Instagram caption at the time: “The most amazing news we are beyond excited to share - our little wild angel is going to be a big brother! 👶🏻🤰🏻🥹 Baby GIRL Smith coming February 2026 🎀🎀🎀”
Smith and her husband, Connor Smith, welcomed firstborn Wesley Alan Smith in June 2024. She said at the time that “my life was forever changed. ...There is no greater honor in life than being chosen by God to be your mom. And no sweeter joy than watching your daddy adore you and protect you already. Even Ryman has reluctantly warmed up to her new little brother. You have all my heart and my prayers, baby boy. If you’re anything like both your namesakes (Conor’s granddad and [Alan Jackson]), you’ve got quite a life ahead of you.”
Jackson, 67, and wife Denise Jackson, 66, are parents to three adult daughters. The “Remember When” legend shared a photo of the three girls on Christmas Day, showing that all three of them are pregnant at the same time. Alexandra “Ali” Jane Jackson Bradshaw, 32, and Dani Grace Jackson, 28., are also expecting children this year. Jackson said at the time, “Merry Christmas from our growing family!” Jackson is a grandfather to Wesley Alan and Jackson Alvie Bradshaw, Ali’s son who was born in December 2022. Smith shared photos with her mother and her pregnant sisters when she postd about her baby shower on Instagram on January 21. She said at the time that she “cannot believe we are just one month out from baby girl’s arrival. A huge thank you to all my favorite people coming to celebrate her and this second beautiful miracle coming soon to our family.”
